In the prologue of the film, it says that people either love or hate macarthur. It also state that the film the film will try and portray a balanced picture of him. In this respect the film fails.
The film tells of the principal events that happened to General Macarthur in the Forties from World War II to the Korean War.
The acting is, at best, tolearble showcasing a vacant performance from Gregory Peck among others.
However, the most insulting aspect of the movie is how it tries to be non partisan but predominantly praises Macarthur for all of his actions.
There are a few noteworthy pieces in the film which helps it escape from being one star. But the film is effectively a propoganda piece. Nothing more, nothing less.
