Machine Fuckin' Head Machine Fuckin' Head Machine Fuckin' Head
By Whipster (663 reviews) from Shropshire , 26 Mar 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
An absolute must for Machine Head fans and anyone remotely interested in heavy music. Robb Flynn and the boys blast through an extensive set at Brixton Academy. If you've never witnessed Head live this is as close as you're gonna get...turn up the surround sound and you can feel the power. The concert itself is excellent but you also get the videos and a heartfelt documentary. Incredible to think that MH were without a label a couple of years ago. All hail Roadrunner.- Was this review helpful to you?

(4)The next best thing to seeing them live!
By TheHatter (58 reviews) from Sheffield , 08 Sep 2008Machine Head usually win just about every kind of 'best live band' award in metal magazines and being someone who sees them every time they're over here I couldn't agree more. As someone absolutely obsessed with this band it's hard for me to review this live offering objectively, but it is one of the best live music DVD's around, as now it's easier to produce them these days, there are a lot of bad ones.
MH usually have a predictable (but certainly crowd pleasing) live set and this show is no exceptions; all of the classics are there; 'Davidian', 'Ten Ton Hammer', 'Old' etc and the amazing opener 'Imperium'. Included as well are music videos, and a documentary about the recording of 'through the ashes...' in which the band talk about a lot of personal issues and the troubles and triumphs they've faced.
It's all well filmed and sounds brilliant. Even if your not a crazed MH fan, this DVD may convert a few more people to go see the 'best live band in metal' as it says that they're touted as on the sleeve... and they certainly aren't lying.- Was this review helpful to you?

A fantastic metal landmark!
By a customer from Manchester (Machine Head's favourite!) , 18 Jan 2007Machine Head's first DVD, and what a fantastic one this is! I bought this, cracked open a beer, cranked up the sound system, and it transported me straight to the gig!
The sound is one of the best I've heard on a metal DVD (KsE is also very good), and the documentary is a must see for any M|H fan.- Was this review helpful to you?

Best
By Maverick83 from Hampshire , 14 Jun 2006If youve ever seen 'Machine Head' live, you will want to get this DVD. It shows the band at their best, playing classic tracks from all five albums (fortunately only Bulldozer from the overall disappointing Supercharger record).
If youve not seen MH live, rent this DVD and then go get yourself a ticket next time theyre over.- Was this review helpful to you?
