A pretty poor quality film. I watched to the end because it was a true story. It was a little weird in places. If I hadn't read the film description then I wouldn't know what was going on.

Almost unwatchable quality wise. Looks like somebody pulled the film out of the can and trampled around the editing suite with it. Beyond that not really interesting. Poor.

Since this very obscure Australian western stars Dennis Hopper, I thought it might be quite good. I was wrong!

This is one of Troma's few attempts to make a serious film, and while it seems to be making a laudable, if clumsy, attempt to say that racism is wrong, it's pretty obvious why they've almost entirely concentrated on deliberately terrible movies ever since they coiled out this one. The disjointed and confusing script omits huge chunks of the narrative because the obviously very low budget doesn't allow things crucial to the story to actually be shown. This is a very minor film indeed, and judging by Dennis Hopper's performance, he knows it.

What's more, this is the worst film to video transfer I've ever seen on a commercial DVD. I would have assumed it was a very poor illegal copy if this film wasn't so obscure that it's hard to imagine anyone bootlegging it. The aspect ratio has been adjusted to make it fit the small screen by simply squashing the movie so that all the actors are weirdly elongated. The colour balance is so badly off, and the definition is so poor that it looks as though it was recorded off the telly with a very basic 1970s VCR.

But worst of all, the entire movie is slightly out of focus! Since I'd rented it, I tried to watch it just in case it had any good bits, but I had to give up halfway through because my eyes were trying to get the thing into focus, which was of course impossible, and I was starting to get a headache.

Do NOT waste your time renting this film - it really is that bad! I was genuinely surprised there was nothing wrong with the sound, because everything else about this DVD is so awful that there really should have been.

What a Film it was bloody rubbish not worth the CD it is printed on. Dennis hooper at his worst. This fil is disjointed and very badly editied in my opinion. What makes it worst is that it is a true story. !!!XXX???

He He funny film (though not a comedy), I giggled throughout. Only watch if you like dennis hopper to the extreme, bad irish accents, australian bushrangers, Ned kelly cross over story in the midst of confusion or just plain like really grainy movies.
