Screenwriter Joe Eszterhas has released audio evidence of what he insists is Mel Gibson's vacation tirade in a bid to prove he's not lying about the Mad Max star's temper. A recording said to be of Gibson exploding into an expletive-filled rant at his home in Costa Rica was released to website TheWrap.com on Wednesday (18Apr12). The Mad Max franchise has a new big name star - Charlize Theron. The Oscar-winner has signed up to appear in Mad Max: Fury Road, which will see Brit Tom Hardy taking over the role made famous by Mel Gibson. Director George Miller will start shooting next summer (Aug10) in Australia, according to Daily Variety. The film will be the first Mad Max movie in over 20 years. Work on the new Mad Max film has ground to a halt - the shoot has reportedly been postponed until next year (11). Moviemaker George Miller is set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the third Mad Max movie by reviving the franchise in Sydney, Australia.
