Now who'd like a cookie ?By JediSi (301 reviews) from Kent , 19 Aug 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]When Marty escapes from Central Park Zoo, Alex, Melman and Gloria begin a rescue mission to find and return their friend. However, they soon find themselves reunited, but.......on a ship bound for Africa. The ship is hijacked and they inadvertantly get stranded on a strange island. Here they learn what life in the wild is actually like.
A very clever and colourful animation that really is a beautiful piece of work. Lovable characters, great voiceovers and a superb plot means top entertainment for kids with a little for adults mixed in.

good funBy rpopper65 (151 reviews) from London , 24 Sep 2009Kids 12 and under will love it, and there is enough tongue-in-cheek, slightly more grown-up humor to keep parents happy. Sasha Baron Cohen doing the (meerkat? ferret?) routine 'I Like to Move It' is priceless!
Runs out of steamBy brokenking (268 reviews) from Bristol , 22 Sep 2009The set up for this film is great, the delivery is.......standard. By that I mean the jokes are highly varied (in terms of qualtiy) and most of the main themes are stretched out for fair too long. Easily the best element of the film is the penguins and if the film revolved solely around them this could have got another star quite easily.

rubbishBy GGR (6 reviews) from London , 15 Jul 2009If you have seen the movie The Wild this is a duplicate, not sure which came first but honestly think this movie is completely overrated, definantly for children only. Characters lack depth or character!
