Powerful and inspiring women!By RainbowJoBirko (123 reviews) from Derbyshire, England , 16 Sep 2010
[Highly rated reviewer]Absolutely brilliant!! Having seen a preview showing of this at the local cinema tonight, I loved it! Women everywhere will feel so powerful and so grateful to those brave and progressive women back in 1968! Based on a true story centered around a small female workforce from the Dagenham Ford factory fighting for equal pay for women is so inspiring! From the people who gave us 'Calender Girls' I knew this was going to be a hit, but I didn't expect it to entertain me quite as much as it did! With a superb cast full of really talented actors, Hawkins, Mays and Hoskins deserving a special mention, it was great! There were some heart wrenching moments, combined with some sexy moments topped off with some laugh out loud scenes, all in all something for everyone!
With a brilliant feel good feel to it, this true story shows that whoever you are and wherever you come from, if you are prepared to work for it, anything really is possible!

Made in DagenhamBy simes (241 reviews) from near Gloucester , 08 Oct 2012This film is ok if rather predictable, not a bad watch but have seen better. Its about industrial action at the Ford plant, having lived through that era I understand it well.
Not quite my thing
Great bit of history told in a very good filmBy MikePoole (24 reviews) , 28 Sep 2012Great bit of history told in a very good film. Entertaining, funny and very well acted. Watched it with the wife and she loved it too
terrific account of a little known fight for equal payBy August7th (17 reviews) , 29 Aug 2012Excellent: wonderful cast, first rate dialogue, and accurate in its portrayal of life in the 60s:( I grew up then).
Costumes and hair styles and make up spot on and plenty of humour.(All too often I have seen mistake after mistake in films set in the 60s; I thnk many film makers overlook the fact there are a lot of us still around who remember it all.)
The interviews with the retired ladies who actually ran the strike at the close of the film are wll placed and unforgettable.
Congratulations to all involved in the production.
Just one blip-near the end-no-one shouted 'yes!' and raised a fist then.
Love it.By SVSL (3 reviews) , 21 Aug 2012Loved it! What a great, feel good, inspirational movie. This was happening when I was far too young to notice but boy are us girls grateful for the defiance and balls of these amazing ladies.
You go sisters!!
