Swingers fans beware....!By a customer from London , 27 Jul 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]Those of you expecting a sequel, or in fact, something that even slightly resembles the fantastic 'Swingers' should be warned, you'll be left disappointed. The only similarities lie in the main cast, but unfortunately even Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau can't save this one.
The story revolves around two guys bungling up there one oppertunity to make something of themselves, and although it has some slick dialogue, funny moments, and a sometimes great soundtrack, overall it just doesn't come together very well.
Perhaps I'm unfair because of the expectations I had of it, being a devoted 'Swingers' fan, but 'Made' is not in the same league. It's clumsy and at times annoying and dull, but may be worth a chance for the few magic Vaughn/Favreau moments that make these two such an enjoyable pair to watch.

Dull and AnnoyingBy a customer from London , 12 Mar 2009I thought this was really poor. I have previously enjoyed all of Vince Vaughn's comedy performances, but this switch to drama really fell flat. His character was entirely without charm, and the rapid-fire energy that lifts his comedic roles was squandered here.
You wont care about the characters, the plot is tedious, and the action non-existant. I switched off after 45 minutes as this film had really failed to get my attention or interest. Dont bother - rent something else.
Becareful what you wish for ....By a customer from Bristol, England , 20 Jan 2007Yes I'm a fan of Swingers which is why I hired this movie. I often wondered about the last scene in Swingers where Mike appeared to gain the slight edge on coolness - MADE is almost like that very trend continues with the actors' characters. I couldn't workout if this was more comedy than drama though. V.V.'s performance was spot on and it's very very watchable - but I wouldn't need to see it twice.
AwfulBy Bartmanekul (11 reviews) from Nailsworth , 12 Dec 2006Vince is very good in many films, especially dodgeball. But this was dire. It was awful.
His character ruined the whole film, is was just an utterly obnoxious and annoying person. Without any humour, or interest.
I weep for the time lost in my life that I watched this, it really was that bad.
At last...By a customer from Cheshire, England , 28 Feb 2006... I don't know why I never got round to watching this - after LOVING 'Swingers' so much.
Al I can say is - it was worth the wait. Vaughan and Favreau are money.
Vince Vaughn steals the show.By Chris from London , 13 Dec 2005A good little film about two friends who get the chance to live the high life by doing a 'job' for a mobster. Really funny in places but Vince Vaughn steals the show with his really annoying character Ricky who is surely the worst best friend in the world. Easily plays between comedy and drama with a nice ending, recommended.
