By a customer from UK , 03 Feb 2008The lovely thing about the Maigret series is that it's perfectly shot to capture the era. The acting in all the episodes is superb and Michael Gambon portrays Maigret to perfection.
Of these three episodes, the one that stood out in particular was The Hotel Majestic. Michael J. Jackson (Ollie Simpson in Brookside!) was perfectly cast as Prosper Donge and gave a beautiful, heartbreaking performance. There wasn't a dry eye in our house during the interview scene.
All in all this is a classic, quality TV series and it was wonderful to see the old episodes again.- Was this review helpful to you?
