(58)Enjoyable, Heart felt movie
By a customer , 24 Aug 2012Long film almost 3 hrs but very entertaining.
Fight scenes somewhat unrealistic, however a very heart felt movie with a message.
Lots of bright colours, and a very musical feel to the movie.
Definately worth a watch.- Was this review helpful to you?

Undemanding entertainment
By Sarahblue (28 reviews) from Norwich, England , 03 Aug 2010SRK spoofs himself in this entertaining tale of a major going under cover at a college to protect a general's daughter and search for his half-brother. While the plot is paper-thin, everything else is over the top - especially the stunts and the evil villain. Director Farah Khan's dance sequences are outstanding, I adored the conceit that SRK's character can't stop himself from singing with his arms thrown wide open every time he sees his love and my neighbours heard me laughing at the Matrix moment. There was the odd moment when my attention wandered but over all this was good undemanding entertainment.- Was this review helpful to you?

Enjoyable
By dumbolives (269 reviews) from Shetland , 15 Feb 2010Family fun with SRK as an army major sent to college posing as a student to look after the General's daughter. Plenty of light hearted fun, some laughs, some crying, love stories thrown in for good measure. Quite an easy film to watch with a nice simple, solid storyline.- Was this review helpful to you?

Bollywood Blockbuster
By a customer from Taunton , 27 May 2009Another nice film by this director. It has different things to offer than Om Shanti Om but is a nice solid story underneath all the silliness. The music isn't as memorable and tends to be way too long (most could have been left out). The basic plot is good and includes a good view of the India/Pakastani conflict, the Indian military and the bond between mother/son, father/son. It's got some nice dramatic moments, some good action shots and other than being too long it's worth a watch. Bollywood movies tend to be quite long (compared to western films) due to the fact that when people there want to see a film they also want to be able to sit in a nice air conditioned theatre at the same time as a side benefit! I do love the way this director does her end credits. It's nice to actually see the faces behind and in front of the cameras.- Was this review helpful to you?
