    simple love story

social status came in the way of love, with no success.

    That was the story.

This was probably the first of trilogy by Sooraj Barjatya with the common theme of simple storyline which values human relations and glorifies familial ties. the other two were Hum aapke hain kaun and Hum saath saath hain. Maine pyar kiya was a huge hit and HAHK made history ( which will remain the most loved film by the masses ).

Salman and Bagyashree played the young lead.

Songs played an important role in the success. Dil deewana was the best among them.

The first 2 hours is entertaining and the last 1 hour just drags on and on.

watch out for the pigeon in the film, which manages to eliminate Mohnish Behl in the climax - who tried to shoot it in earlier scene.
