To say it's fluff is kind ...

I wish I could say nice things about this movie ... but it is badly written, directed and acted and barely has any redeeming factors. It is more like a series of 40 second clips strung together than a cohesive story - bizarre! I watched it while home sick with the flu and I guess the good points were that it didn't require me to think [at all!] and I didn't really mind [or seem to miss much] when I feel asleep for about 20 minutes in the middle of the film. Unfortunately nobody has told Jessica Simpson that she can't really act?! As a result, parts of this film feels like art imitating life. The most disappointing example of this is how her one dimensional movie actrees character seems to magically transform in the last 30 minutes - oh dear!

    silly but fun to watch

I thought Jessica Simpson would be really bad, as i hated the Dukes of Hazzard, but actually she was funny and quite believable in the movie. Better than Beyonce, for sure. I thought the plot was simple and silly, but we had a good laugh watching it, there were a few hilarious scenes in it, and yes, it didnt require us to think, but what's wrong with that. Just a silly feel-good movie, but dont knock it, they go down really well most days of the week!
