Yes it is the typical storyline but it was so much more. This one had the passion of the dance it portayed and you could feel it. The burlesque type dancing is its own genre and i thought that the film portrayed this particular style very well with some great routines and well trained dancers, it' definatly one to watch.
You will like this if your a fan of Honey, Save the last dance, Stop the Yard, How she move etc. which are also some great films.
this is no step up or save the last dance, the trailor sets it up to be a fast paced dance film and it certainly is not, the story has been done a hundred times and the dancing is average and not very creative there are so many better dance films out there i recommend you watch one of those x
