spike lee at his bestBy Qaes Mujawar from london , 12 Jul 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]if you like spike lee movies, youll love this. this film tells us about the life of malcom x, from when he was a street gangsta going to prison and converting to islam through the following of blacks rights movement of the nation of islam. this is definatly denzel at his finest.
although the film is a bit long it is thoroughly absorbing.

Long windedBy dancefreek (12 reviews) from Feltham , 12 Mar 2009I love watching films that reflect the true history of black politics but this film was to long winded and did not keep me interested. To be honest with you I ended up falling a sleep and not watching the end of the film, but im not that bothered either.
awrytBy a customer from Dunfermline , 04 Feb 2009good performance by denzel washington as always.. storyline was alright.
only reason why it never got a higher rating was because it dragged on abit and i found i lost interest towards the end.

Best film from 90'sBy a customer from Barking , 18 Dec 2008Rarely you find a film which is as good as the book, spike does his magic and made definitely a powerful film from a powerful book!
what a long filmBy a customer from Kinlochleven , 09 Nov 2008This was a long, but interesting film - particularly relevant in the current political climate. It's a good reminder of how far equal rights have come in the past 50 years, but also highlights how many race (and gender) issues remain with us today.
