Superb!
By a customer from Sheringham, Norfolk , 01 Aug 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
Wasn't sure what too expect from this - took a little while to get into, but well worth it.
Gentle humour, great acting and a pretty good ending to boot:-)
Well worth renting- Was this review helpful to you?

(9)Read the book first
By a customer from Bristol , 23 Jan 2008After reading the book, I obviously knew what to expect and it was nice to put a face to a character.
A good film that almost anyone can watch. Makes you see the stress of a divorce on a child in a non-heavy way.
My advice - read the book first to get the detail - then watch the film for the slushy bits and the add-ons for the film indusrty.
Simple, but a nice night in when it's raining!- Was this review helpful to you?

Excellent film
By a customer from London, England , 03 May 2007I thought this an excellent film. It was well acted and gave a realistic interpretation of how a marriage can break up and the resulting problems in who is to take care of the child. Well worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

What drivel!
By a customer from Cornwall, UK , 26 Apr 2007Such wooden acting, you know you are in trouble with a film when you just don't care about the characters ....... Maybe it got better, I will never know or care!- Was this review helpful to you?

An easy watch
By a customer from Devon , 04 Jan 2007When I finished reading the book I thought 'well, that was an easy read, not great, but worth reading'. The film very much follows the book in that it is an easy film to watch and quite enjoyable, but not earth shattering.- Was this review helpful to you?

Disappointing
By a customer from Southampton, England , 25 Jan 2006Having read the book by Tony Parsons, I was very disappointed by this film. The acting was barely watchable. Best actor was the little boy.- Was this review helpful to you?
