    Not my thing

This is a pretty poor effort overall. The direction feels half hearted at best. This includes strange things going on in the background. For instance in one sequence there is someone moving around in the background who looks like part of the film crew that forgot to get out of the way of the camera. The actors accents slip in and out and add to the amateur feel of this film. The only commendable thing is the well realised monster. Although it has to be said that even this is not that original. Not recommended and I'm not sure how it ended up on my film list in the first place. Perhaps one of my kids added it as a joke.

    Good.

Better than expected. The movie actually captures the atmosphere of the quietness of the swamp and the area related. A scary mood of loneliness.

The acting is like expected not bad, but not much highlights as well. The main bad guy got some convincing scenes.

The storyline, yes there is one, is progressing and even slightly thought through. Surely some of the deaths are just cause. On the other hand none of the other usual dangers in a big swamp were not used.

The man-thing is desined according to the theme and made okay.

Overall not a bad movie for fans of that genre.
