I clearly remember watching this film as a child and it made a big impression on me. The story of a little girl who is born profoundly deaf; and the struggle her family goes through whilst trying to educate her. Mandy Miller was an excellent little actress and I guarantee for the final scene, there won't be a dry eye in the house!!!
I can't remember how this film came up on my list but I'm so glad I watched it.Deafness is something I never really thought about, and the film realstically portrays the hardships and frustrations of a child who has this disability. The acting is superb, the plot always keeps you interested, and the score is beautiful. What happened to the British film industry?!!
