Second time unlucky

There is a law written into the movie bible that a horror sequel must be worse then the first. ?Maniac Cop? follows this to a tee by removing many of the elements that made the first one good. Gone is the tension ? gone is the original premise ? and worst of all - gone is Bruce Campbell!

?Maniac Cop? follows on almost immediately from the first film and depicts the continuing butchery of the zombie cop wrongly sent to jail by a corrupt politician. He is still seeking justice and he will stop at nothing.

The scene in the police station is reminiscent of ?Terminator? and provides the highlight of the film. The rest is a mish mash of hammy acting and action set pieces. If you like schlock horror then this is still ok but if you do not steer well clear.
