Acclaimed Japanese New Wave director Yasuzo Masumura takes on the intricacies of love in his acclaimed film MANJI. When a dissatisfied, bored wife meets a mysterious, sexy woman in an art class, the two embark on a passionate affair.     Middle of the road.

    A rather middle of the road movie for Masumura that never quite reaches the highs of his other movies Red Angel and Blind Beast.
