Bertram Pincus. Who else but Ricky Gervais could do justice to a name like that? Bertram is a British dentist in New York. A bone fide misanthropist, you have to say he’s in the right profession (and the right city). Social interaction is kept to a bare minimum. The opening of the 59th Berlin Film Festival might lead you to think so. When actors Clive Owen, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Ulrich Thomsen and Axel Milberg turned out along with director Tom Tykwer to present their film The International, it received resounding applause, even at the lunch time press showing. The reason for this is indeed... Read more
