On a chilly weekend in mid-November a diminutive tap-happy penguin by the name of Mumble beat out James Bond for the number one spot at the US box office, the margin almost as close as a hanging chad. In a nutshell, this is March of the Penguins, the animation; though in fact George Miller's film was already well into production before the documentary turned into an unexpected global smash. In the original version of March the penguins talked to each other in French, but as far as I know they didn't also burst into song at the drop of a hat.
