(4)A film worth watching
By a customer , 24 Apr 2011This is a really good film. It makes you realise that Margaret Thatcher was a remarkable woman especially for her generation.
In fact, whether you like her or not she was the last honest politican we had in this country!!! I don't think she walked away with a fortune like the ones following her.- Was this review helpful to you?

Margaret Thatcher - The Long Walk To Finchley
By Eleanora (3 reviews) from West Drayton , 29 Jan 2010This was a fascinating true story which was brilliantly acted. I was really impressed by the acting, and how succinctly the story was told. I can't recommend it highly enough, whatever your politics are. Not only is the story compelling and the acting brilliant, but it higlights a range of issues as well as her desire to succeed in politics. Definitely a film I would add to my collection- Was this review helpful to you?

Margaret Thatcher
By Livluv (1 review) from Bristol , 01 Mar 2009A thought provoking interpretation of Margaret Thatcher's struggle to become an MP which highlights the prejudices faced by women in politics. It is also an interesting portrayal of Thatcher herself, depicting her more as a wife/mother/daughter rather than as a fierce Prime Minister as she later came to be known. Whilst depicting some serious issues, the film also has several humerous moments (e.g. 'When I'm Prime Minister every child will have as much milk as they want'). Very insightful into politics 'behing the scenes' as well as being very enjoyable.- Was this review helpful to you?
