    Mid 60s jet set hokum

Leslie Phillips co-produced and features in this and although he's featured surrounded by pretty dim models in scanty mid 60s clothes his photographer character (just look at those cute vintage cameras!) is rather limited as he's perpetually irritated - you just pray for a little latitude so he can go 'Well Helll-oooooo!' to just one of them. It's not as if the opportunity doesn't arise.

Gene Barry is OK if a little oldish (but then he was past it in Burke's Law) for the clicheed yank lead but Elsa Martinelli is ravishing and Cyd Charisse ain't a bad looker either and yes the girls are smashing, even Angela Douglas. Shame Sue Lyon from The Baron wasn't asked or available!

The Moroccan locations are more impressive than the plot (very much like an extended Baron or Saint script) and you tend to notice the dramatic music while nothing much is going on.

You'll have to lighten the screen for the final big scenes - otherwise there's a lot of murky movement that could've been shot in a back yard.

It may be a piece of rushed hokum that ran out of funds but has fewer longeurs than many of its contemporaries and the clothes are fantastic.

Anyone wanting to see a typical 60s B movie can watch this without resorting to painkillers. There are also some charming rushed scenes usually involving Denholm Elliott - probably spliced on afterwards to fill out the storyline.
