If you are into sci-fi you will enjoy this one. Considering the original book was written before Apollo 13 it brings a lot of those feelings into play. Well worth a look but not necessarily a keeper.

Rather slow-moving, particularly in the first two thirds of the film. However conventional the plot idea and however basic the effects, at least by today's standards, there are good performances by Gene Hackman and Richard Crenna. Apollo 13 it isn't but Marooned is worth a watch if you like sci-fi films.

Couldn't get into this at all. Found it thin, awkward and flat. Sorry, but I haven't really got anything else to say about it. It looks like it has all the right ingredients, but it turns out very bland. I can't recommend it.

  • a hidden gem

Full of suspense right to the last minute, the visual effects are really quite impressive given that it was made in 1969. The use of sound and subtle music in this film strongly reminded me of Alien, they manage to get across the passionless, empty void and vacuum of space.

    One not to be missed.
