The film is said to be inspired by the crush that Ram had on Sridevi. Kittu (Aftab Shivdasani) is a young collegian living in the throes of his obsessive love for a film actress Mallika (Urmila Matondkar). So lost is he in his love for her that he is totally unaware that he is being worshipped by a young girl in his own backyard (Antara Mali). Enraged by his failing attempts, Kittu leaves home and lands in Mumbai in search of his beloved Mallika. Kittu manages to meet Mallika but does her magic last or does it dissipate?
