I Say With Maximum Conviction This Is O.kBy a customer , 25 Mar 2013

[Highly rated reviewer]Austin and Seagal are Cross and Manning. Two ex elite soldiers who now are part of prisoner transport. Who come against terrorists posing as officers. Who are trying to obtain a money chip hidden inside an inmate. The records show millions and are wiped by the stopping of the heart. A four letter fun fest. Where arms brake and bullets fly. This is not Seagal's T. V show episodes released on dvd. True it's B movie action. There is violence and plenty of it, Seagal's best for a while.

Worth a watch if your bored.By kb206gti (22 reviews) , 23 Sep 2013A typical Steven Seagal film, lots of action & not much of a storyline. Worth a watch if your bored.
Time Seagal Retired to a Pacific IslandBy Zydor (268 reviews) from Headley Down , 21 Sep 2013If you are into non stop weapons fire for 98 mins, this is for you - but you do have to be a little brain dead to survive the torrent of improbables. The film was made on a budget in one location, lights down, weapons hot - you get the idea. Plot line is so faint as to be nominal excuse to fire a weapon, and surprise surprise the hero wins. Seagal really is looking long in the tooth now - and massive - gargantuan frankly - round the waistline - time he hung up his false teeth, retired to a South Pacific Island and took in the Sun. His day is done. If you like non stop weapons fire knowing full well the good guy is going to win, its for you, otherwise watching paint dry is more satisfying.
Awful filmBy a customer , 14 Sep 2013I will keep it simple. Story awful and confusing, Directing awful, acting awful. It was painful to watch, I felt a little sorry for the well know actors who got themselves involved in this film

No pain, no gain!By Have-a-Banana (1 review) , 20 Aug 2013
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideThis is not the Seagal of old, but it is the best Seagal of late! To be fair considering the low budget (which is not a problem as long as a film has charm) it's not too bad but its not terribly exciting and left me feeling a bit flat and not terribly entertained. I was a big fan of Seagal back in the day, still am,so its a shame he's gone down hill so much. Its not all bad news though as this film is a much better standard from Seagal of late, compared to some of his DTV rubbish he's been in. When he makes the effort you don't feel so cheated. In the past he's used body doubles for his DTV stuff and has had his voice dubbed and has hardly been in them. MC is a run of the mill action film that has been seen and done before but with better results. The film starts with Seagal and Austin as security contractors tasked with closing down a top secret high risk security prison along with their elite team and a group of MP's. In the process the prison is attacked by rouge CIA agents looking for a top secret prisoner who has an information chip embedded in their torso that leads to a multi million pound fortune. Seagal and Austin kick their asses and its game over within 90 minutes! In general terms MC does what it says on the tin but it is very generic and some parts of the story and the acting are just ridiculous and very poor. Hence why I'm giving it 2. 5 out of 5. 0. This is not a 5 star film,no way near it. Films like this never are. It had potential but never makes it. There is a lot of action, which is fairly well staged but apart from that not a lot happens in the 'in between scenes'. Most of the actors don't do an awful lot in between the action scenes apart from 'quote' the mind numbing boring dialogue from the dire script without any *CONVICTION*. Most of them have no screen presence. Having appalling Z rate actors combined with a dire script doesn't help matters. There's a few dodgy actors and performances in this film! There is zero character development, just action. It's like the script writer didn't have any ideas for the characters, making it very boring. Dialogue is supposed to be interesting too and keep the film moving along until the action scenes take place but it doesn't happen here. Like i said the action is fairly well staged but nothing amazing. Luckily though Seagal still has his screen presence along with Austin, as without the two of them this film would be nothing. I liked Seagal's performance because even though he had nothing to work with script wise, his screen presence and some of his dialogue and one liners were actually quite witty and helped make the film a lot better. For example in one scene he breaks a bad guys arm during a fight and says 'Does that hurt? You Fu**ing P**sy!' The way he delivered that line was excellent, I loved that bit. I laughed my head off! Another line was 'I'll kill them before they kill you!' Cheesy but Classic hard man stuff! The PQ is good, but it should be better for a new release. It is quite dark and lacks fine detail in places. The AQ is also good and is better than the PQ and makes good use of the surround sound. No extra features except the trailer. That's a shame because on the US version it comes with a Commentary track and four featurettes, plus a digi copy. Considering the UK version was released some months after America there's no excuse! Some how I think that would have added to the appeal of owning this on Blu-ray. It needs all the help it can get and without the extra features makes for a very poor release. It's a rare thing to get a DTV Seagal film release with extra features these days! In Summary without Seagal, Austin, Pare, O'Brien and some of the ok action, this film would have nothing going for it. I can see Waxman did the best he could with what he had and all credit to him but its only worth a rent IMO and not a keeper especially without the extra features seen on the US disc.
