When a stray U.S. Navy test missile hits a jumbo airliner, killing most of its passengers and crew, the remaining survivors must safely land the crippled plane. Pacific Global Flight 52 is on a routine trip from the United States to Tokyo, when it is hit by the wayward missile, causing severe damage but not enough to knock it out of the sky. Now, the desperate and terror-stricken crew--including inexperienced pilot John Berry (Aidan Quinn) and senior flight attendant Sharon Crandall (Kelly Hu)--struggle to regain control of the ruptured aircraft.
