really below par for a walken film, he doesnt really have any of his usual spark orintensity in this film...
its not unwatchable by anymeans but there are several better walken films where he plays a 'nam vet- Was this review helpful to you?

By Cashplays (43 reviews) , 05 Apr 2013Boring, bad and cheap. I wasn't expecting a 5* film but this was sooooo disappointing. I only really watched it because I like Christopher Walken and Maria Conchita Alonso but even they can't rescue this dead donkey of a film. And even poor old Michael Ironside tries his best but falls short by a country mile. But it's not their fault really. Poor script, bland direction, poor production values and being just too damn silly for it's own good makes this a lost cause. If you want mercenary and soldier of fortune type films go with The Wild Geese or High Risk anything really other than this.- Was this review helpful to you?

My eyes!!! My poor eyes!!!
By Jonathan Turner from England , 04 Mar 2004To describe this film as a mess is generous. A former group of Vietnam veterans reform after the death of there comrade at the hands of the Colombian goverment, they set out to single handly bring down Colombia as revenge.
At times its laughable and the dead comrades sister (Walken's love interest) is such a bad performance its embarrassing.
I really can't think of anything good to say about this film, Walken sleepwalks his role, the direction is unfocused, and the script is awful.
If any one ever asks if you want to watch this film I would suggest you give the film a miss and chew off your own right leg instead, I can guarantee it will be a less painful experience!!!- Was this review helpful to you?

Poor Commando clone.
By NCS from Brighton U.K. , 10 Oct 2003On the plus side this movie features the Walken, sadly he's miscast and sleepwalks through the film. The 'plot' consists of a group of middle aged 'nam vets who manage to otherthrow a corrupt South American government with a few machine guns and rocket launchers. Sadly despite its ludicrous premise it's not bad enough to be funny (except the scene where Walken downs a jet fighter with a pistol) just bad enough to be dull.- Was this review helpful to you?
