Excellent gameBy biker1559 (37 reviews) from Weymouth , 17 Oct 2010
[Highly rated reviewer]Very good game but as I do not play online I was a bit disappointed that the campaign was so short finished it in less than 2 days, would have liked to have a played for longer. Although this is a good game I glad I did not buy it as for me it would have been a waste of money.

Bit dissappointingBy Dav (30 reviews) from London , 04 Apr 2013This is a bit dull. Nothing you haven't seen before in half a dozen other shooters. Not as good as the latest Modern Warfare releases, and nowhere near as interesting or exciting as Halo: Reach or Halo 4 (for example).

Disappointing gameBy a customer , 18 Aug 2012I was looking forward to playing this game so when it arrived in the post I tried it right a way. I won't bore you with a review so I'll get down to the basics. The gameplay itself is realistic. The story isn't all that long, but that's not surprising since its a military shooter. The graphics appear to be good, however, this is short lived as there is regular screen tearing which is very frustrating. One thing that really does top the negative points though is the bugs/glitches! This game is full of them! Do they not have testers?! At one point I walked into a warehouse and could see the map, which you can then fall into, resulting in a very long fall to the centre of the earth leading to a fatal death. I had to watch a Youtube tutorial to find out what the hell was happening, turned out I didn't kill one enemy 5 minutes back. Another glitch is when you have to take out a mounted gunner in a bunker, he turns into Mr Invincible! Once again I had to turn to a Youtube tutorial to find out what to do. This time however the only way to progress and kill Mr Invincible was to restart the entire mission! Overall this game was quite disappointing and I won't bother playing the second one when EA release it.
A rare modern FPS that draws from recent historyBy StanleyHTweedle (20 reviews) from London , 17 Jun 2012Medal of Honor is an average product; its not broken but neither is it particularly engaging to play.
What makes this game interesting is its narrative source the conflict in Afghanistan. Putting aside the controversial multiplayer; the single player does raise the question if it is bad taste to actually turn a real war into a gaming experience intended for entertainment. We certainly dont have a problem trivializing a conflict that cost 50 million lives in games (World War Two) nor stereotyping the Russians as the global bogeymen in the CoD or Battlefield series.
Perhaps it is right modern day conflicts should be left alone by games (its doubtful the insipid follow up to MoH will go anywhere near the Middle East for its narrative). However, this does mean we will have to experience increasingly duller re-iterations of fictional European conflicts that bear no resemblance to reality and consequently will be far less interesting to play.
