Blades of Glory stays atop US box office chart

A new comedy featuring Will Ferrell and Jon Heder as rival figure skaters has stayed at number one in the US box office chart this week, ahead of second-placed Meet the Robinsons. Both movies are spending their second weeks in the chart, while Are We Done Yet?, starring Ice Cube, beat Quentin Tarantino's Grindhouse as both debuted on the big screen. Comedy sequel Mr Bean's Holiday has reached the top of the UK box office chart in its first week of release, totalling over £6.4 million in ticket sales, according to ACNielsen. But while the rubber-faced funnyman, played by Rowan Atkinson, may enjoy the top spot, he may have to contend with two releases scheduled for this weekend which could see Easter holidaymakers flocking to cinemas. Wild Hogs is tops at the box office

Road-trip comedy Wild Hogs proved more popular than any other film at UK cinemas this week, earning a total of £1,691,797 after its release last Friday. The movie, about four middle-aged men who embark on a motorcycle adventure, beat Mr Bean's Holiday into second place and Will Ferrell comedy Blades of Glory into third - although neither are new entries in the chart supplied by ACNielsen.
