Ehle on the eye!By Paul Jay from London, England , 17 Jan 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]Classy, if slightly slow-moving, Alan Bleasdale adaptation of the Francis Durbridge thriller .. As you would expect from Bleasdale, the usual stella cast, great acting, script etc .. For me, Adrian Dunbar steals the show ..

Pretty AverageBy Swansea_Jack (92 reviews) from Swansea , 28 Mar 2012I really looked forward to this after falling in love with the 1970's version, and when i saw Julie Waltes was in it couldn't wait, sadly it was a bit of a disappointment, massive changes had been made to the script, some good but generally not for the good of the story. Adrian Dunbar is the saving grace of it, he is very strong, whereas Gary Cady who plays Don Page is very wooden. Even the normally wonderful Julie Walters seems unable to make an impact. Worth a look but don't buy it :-) 3/5

Enjoyable ThrillerBy Sambi (216 reviews) from Carmarthen , 27 Feb 2009As befits a series written by Bleasdale this was excellent. The characters did seem to be though out of a time warp but the excellence of their playing made this enjoyable.
