Having read some good reveiws on the site I was prepared to give this a go on the basis that it might be an interesting if off-beat, but it turned out to be a big disappointment which I wouldn't recommend to any but the most avid fans of Korean cinema.
Trouble is it has some interesting elements but doesn't quite know what type of film it is, quirky love story, it's-tough-being-a-high-school-teen, social expose or horror which makes it a mighty confusing viewing experience - as some of previous viewers have already pointed out.
It's shot as if something strange and weird is always about to happen ( and it eventually does) but in the meantime there's a random collection of scenes with no narrative tension and we never even quite know who the main characters are since screen time is given to so many of the different girls in the film its' different to identify with anyone. I really think this was just shot on the run without much thought to style, narrative or the viewer.
It's a nice idea but this is executed in such a terrible way that it never really engages and the grand supernatural finale, although with some nice moments, like the rest of the film, never has the impact its makers wanted. Shame
