Most helpful review
Simply outstanding
By a customer from St. Albans , 19 Apr 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
An excellent film. Well directed and acted by all concerned. The way the film has been put together means that you frequently know what is coming, but not how you are going to get there. After you have watched and enjoyed the film as it was intended I recommend watching it forwards .Access the special features section of the DVD. Wait for the 'Memento Mori' picture to move and the pic of Leonard with a pic in his mouth to take up most of the screen (best wait for the words 'Memento Mori' to be barely visible at the edge of the screen). Press enter/play. A screen will come up telling you you have found the hidden version of the film. Click on 'Play'.
And then watch the film in chronological order including the end credits rolling backwards at the beginning and the opening segment running forwards.
It will give you a new perspective on all the characters as they are introduced to you in an entirely different way.- Was this review helpful to you?

(405)A boring Watch
By a customer , 19 Mar 2013A very disappointing and confusing film. The ending did not make sense to me and after watching it I wondered why the film was ever made- Was this review helpful to you?

Complicated and boring
By a customer , 16 Mar 2013Didn't understand this from start to finish. Yes, he was searching for his wife's killers, but far too complicated. I appreciate the film was trying to portray from Shelby's angle, but definitely not my cup of tea. Didn't understand the ending either. Perhaps I was tired!- Was this review helpful to you?

Needs more than just a gimmick
By a customer , 11 Feb 2013Essentially a backwards film that may be considered clever and original, however it needs to be enjoyable & compelling as well. This is neither and ultimatley a forgettable film.- Was this review helpful to you?

Truly momentous
By headfirst (3 reviews) , 19 Jan 2013Wow! Straight in to my top 3 films of all time! It takes a little getting into and you need to concentrate, but it's a superbly constructed film and story. I want to say more but it would only ruin the experience for you. If you like films that fire the brain cells you'll love this.- Was this review helpful to you?

doesn't work
By a customer , 13 Dec 2012Confusing,boring,dull and completely pointless film. Yes great idea trying to tell the story backwards but just doesn't work for me. If you were to show the film in the right order it wouldn't even get a mention in a review as the storyline is just a mundane who dunnit which even in its backward state you guess who did it. Avoid even if you are just curious don't rent just so you don't have to look at guy pearce's ridiculous hair- Was this review helpful to you?
