Memory Run

MEMORY RUN is set in the Los Angeles of 2015 AD, a place ruled by the omnipresent Life Corporation, a disturbing alliance of the police, judiciary, and health branches of government. Andre Fuller (Chris Makepeace), an innocent man, is framed and convicted for the murder of a wealthy woman by the Life Corporation. Then his brain is transplanted into the still-living (but brain-dead) body of the murder victim. Celeste (Karen Duffy), the product of this strange experiment, rejects LifeCorp's reprogramming and escapes. Out in the wasteland of this dystopia, Celeste must help decide her fate--and the fate of the world.

An unnecessarily complicated slice of sci-fi which sees Karen Duffy going on the run from an evil corporate empire after she discovers that its executives have been literally playing with her mind. Saul Rubinek, Matt McCoy and Chris Makepeace add a further smidgen of respectability, but this one is really for genre fans only. Released as Synapse in the United States.

    Low budget. low interest.

The first disc went missing in the post and after watching the replacement, I wish it had too. I persevered for the full length of this film but in all honesty, it lacks anything decent in all departments. The acting is woeful, FX from the budget store and story is not in the least interesting. I thought there was a little promise at the start but my hopes were quickly dashed.
