This is a very good quality DVD (running time 2.50hrs): the colour is a little odd in places, but the picture and sound quality are good, and there no obvious gaps or missed songs. (There is just one minor problem with the DVD, which is that the subtitles go badly out of synch with the picture after about 2.30hrs.) As for the film itself, Mere Mehboob was a superhit in 1963, and deservedly so: it has a strong story; well-written dialogue; good performances from all the leads; beautiful & authentic looking sets & costumes; and, above all, an absolutely superb soundtrack from Naushad. Almost every song (singers are Lata, Asha & Rafi) is a gem.
