    [Highly rated reviewer]

Merlin is a superb series, that my children and I love watching.

The episodes for this series include:

The Curse of Cornelius Sigan - A new servant named Cedric tries to get Merlin's job of Arthur's man servant, but Merlin discovers his real reason is to obtain a jewel from a newly found temple, said to be owned by Cornelius Sigan, who once vowed he will return to destroy Camelot.

The Once and Future Queen - The Camelot Jousting Tournament has arrived. Arthur is determined to win, but he believes the knights are letting him win because he is royal. Meanwhile, Myror arrives at Camelot, with only one mission… to kill Arthur.

The Nightmare Begins - Morgana's dreams come to worry her, which makes her convinced she has magical powers. Gaius insists there is nothing to fear, keeping her in the dark, but Merlin cannot watch and see her suffer. As Merlin tries to help Morgana, Mordred returns and becomes reunited with her.

The Friendship Rescue - Gwen is accidentally mistaken to be Morgana and becomes kidnapped by Hengist, a savage outlaw. Uther refuses to pay any money for her return, so Arthur enters Hengist's territory to rescue her. But Arthur is not alone, as he finds that Lancelot is also out to save her.

The cast is fabulous - Colin Morgan as Merlin, Richard Wilson as Gaius, Anthony Head as Uther, Angel Coulby as Gwen, Bradley James as Prince Arthur and Katie McGrath as Morgana.

    Well worth watching !!!!

I really like this series. It just gets better and better. Yep it is abit of pap, but there isn't anything wrong with that now and again. I prfer the even more pappier Robin of Sherwood though.

These were several fantastic episodes. I enjoyed the early ones, but the final two (a double episode) made those before fade into somewhat obscurity. Sarah Parish was brilliant. Her portrayal of the baddie was an outstanding performance. The character was truly believable and I seriously wondered how Merlin would get out of this and save the realm. Very good writing :)
