Cher in a movie is to fall in love all over again...yes, Ryder was okay as well. Hoskins superb. But Cher? She was the Mom you always wanted, but then, we are embarrassed by our parents, aren't we? See this for a light, pleasant evening. Freud would have dined out on these characters....
