I seriously disliked this game, bare in mind I did not play it much on ps2. Advise not getting it unless you are a lover of the old games.

Though this is a classic I wasn't overly pleased and soon sent it back, might give it another go but in no rush.

Playing this collection actually spoiled my great memories of playing these games on PS2. Quite a sad reflection. Be warned!

I agree with all the other reviews, if your new to the game DON'T get it, originals GET it! I'm not a original but I only enjoyed the third mgs. So I suggest you don't get it newbies!

I played MGS2 when it first came out on the PS2. I have since played the Xbox port but it lost something crossing the consoles. Mainly due, in my opinion, to the shocking d-pad on an xbox controller. The PS1 & PS2 controller's D-pad was perfect for those precision pressing up against walls and sidling along them. The sticks were never good enough for this. I tried playing this on the 360 but to be honest the graphics looked pretty much the same and it still handled awfully. The same is true of Snake-Eater and the game is further ruined by the adjustable camera. The whole charm of the MGS series is it's top-down look, making you study your surroundings with greater care. It broke the game for me. As for Peace Walker, I never got to it. It is annoying that it is on a second disc. Couldn't be bothered to go through the hassle of installing it to be disappointed and just remove it again. Also, Raiden will never beat Snake. Not ever! :)
