This US TV special on the life of Michael Jackson is designed as a retrospective look at the life and career of the singing sensation, but the show was dogged by the controversy surrounding Jackson due to a number of child abuse allegations that were aimed at him. Nevertheless the show managed to produce a positive message in its overview of the Jackson ouvre, and interspersed documentary footage with some stunning performances from the self-styled King of Pop. Among the clips are a rendition of "Ben" from American Bandstand, "Billie Jean" from the Motown 25th anniversary TV special, "The Way You Make Me Feel" performed at the Grammys, and many others. Featuring supportive, celebrity contributions from the likes of Beyonce, Wyclef and Shaggy, this is a timely Jacko love-in.
