Tasteless or brilliant? Michael Jackson's dance rehearsals are made into a movie...

The legend lives on
By a customer from London , 22 Sep 2009[Highly rated reviewer]
The last chance to see the king in action. I have always known Michael the best in his concerts. I could see how much he loved the stage and how much he enjoyed entertaining the audience. Despite all the hard times he went through to create a masterpiece, he enjoyed it, because he was creating.
Don't miss it. Watch it and certainly watch his other concert on DVD, the Dangerous Tour in Bucharest. He is THE perfectionist!- Was this review helpful to you?

(113)Performing and Directing - on top of his game!
By PaulHappy (144 reviews) , 01 Feb 2013I have admired Michael Jackson as a performer but in watching this I was so impressed with his involvement in all aspects of the production of his concerts. He is so on top of his music and knows exactly what he wants from himself and the other performers. Here he was as much the Director as Kenny Ortega was. Michael was a true talent - sometimes in the music world today people are over hyped and their hype is greater than their talent - but with Michael his talent shines through - a true music star! If there was a downside to 'This is it' it is the sycophantic behaviour of everyone towards Michael - I do believe in respect towards others - but when it become sycophantic as it was here, then it becomes really cringe-worthy. Other than that I really enjoyed it.- Was this review helpful to you?

I had alsways liked Michael Jackson, this just made me love him more!- Was this review helpful to you?

pop legend
By Em1981 (133 reviews) from London , 17 Sep 2012Whatever anyone thinks of Michael Jackson you can not deny this man was extremely talented and gifted. This was a little odd to watch. It was good but truthfully it didnt blow me away. I have seen better videos of his work.- Was this review helpful to you?

Even for 'NOT' fans - this is well worth a watch
By Plumereine (2 reviews) , 19 May 2012Even for 'NOT' fans this is well worth a watch as it highlights Jackson's professionalism and the sensitive & very vulnerable character that he, sadly, was. It gives a previously unknown perspective of Michael Jackson through the rehearsals & build up to his revival/final (didn't happen ) tour.- Was this review helpful to you?
