Now in my honest opinion michaek mcintyre is one of the funniest acts around at the moment, after the big let down of lee evans new dvd and also jimmy carrs not being up to scratch i thought great gonna be wetting myself laughing for then next hour and a half, we'll for me it was a big let down, as i had only 3 days previously watched live at the appollo on bbc1, which admittedly the first time watching was hilarious, so then we sit down to watch the dvd and every other gag is what we saw on live at the appollo, so if you missed that then definatly watc this dvd as u will be laughing whole heartedly, otherwise if you did see it id give it a miss.
saw his live show and it was awesome, no doubt this will be as good
I was looking forward to this DVD. I think you'll either love his brand of comedy or hate it. I found his presence annoying; the constant hairshaking got on my last nerve and his weird voice. I won't be looking out for his shows again. Sorry to be so negative, it was a disappointment.
Love Michael's observational humour and the fact that he doesn't have to rely on sexual content and bad language like others of his generation. That's not to say that there isn't a bit of either but it's not overloaded.
Having watched McIntyre progress on various comedy panel shows, I thought he was still a rough diamond. But no . . . this is a highly polished performance, superbly combining intellect and physical movement to great comedic effect. Easy to see why this DVD sold in the numbers and at the speed it did.

I saw him first on some panel show and thought Michael McIntyre was funny, but when I saw his stand up I could not stop laughing all of the way through. From the same vein as Peter Kay (but funnier) all of his jokes are about things you do everyday but dont realise it.
His accent and campness (even though he has kids and is married) make him even funnier to watch. He does not spend 3 hours making jokes about kids and sick stuff, they are just hilarious day to day observations delivered brilliantly. The whole show is brilliant from start to finish. He will definately be the next big thing if he isnt already!

Bright, funny and some good off-side comments make Mr McIntyre well worth watching.
There are few stand up comic performances that I remember for a long time, and Michael M is up there. I recall laughing as hard in the 1980 performances by Robin William (An evening at the Met), and Eddie Murphy's Raw, but since then there's been a bit of a drought, until the great Jimmy Carr, Bill Bailey and now Michael McIntyre. Just like buses three come along at once.
MM is genius, and I remember watching this, and the few bits where I didn't laugh was because I was agog with amazement at this man's ability to observe everyday drudgery as an hilarious experience. Thoroughly recommend.
If you've watched Live at the Apollo , Mock the Week etc then you've seen the majority of this material. Very dissapointing as we were really looking forward to this.
