Midnight Run

Director Martin Brest
Genres Comedy
Run time 121 mins Certificate 18

22nd November 2011

Ex-Cop Bounty Hunter, goes after Accountant who “did” Mob Boss, has to get him back to LA before midnight, FBI and Mob also after accountant, havoc.

Entertaining late 80s action/comedy with great chemistry between Robert DeNiro and Charles Grodin moving the film along at a good pace and excellent support from Yaphet Koto, Dennis Farina and Joe Pantoliano.

Sweary but funny dialogue throughout, it is quite formulaic and you pretty much know how it’s going to end up but it has that 1980s “feel-good factor” about it that it’s fun to watch.

Music is by Danny Elfman with a heavy blues feel which although dated does go well with the film.
