John Nettles stars as the humorous, thoughtful and methodical Detective Chief Inspector Barnaby. Midsomer has been hit by a wave of burglaries. A master house-thief who defies even stringent home security has been dubbed The Creeper. But it is only when the Chief Constable is on the receiving end of the burglar that Barnaby s experience is called into action. What Barnaby and Jones find is not just a petty thief but an individual trying to bring the truth to the fore. So when a body is found, Barnaby is convinced there is more to discover, unravelling the long-standing social affairs of gentry and gangsters alike in his quest to stop The Creeper.
