Midsomer Murders is my favourite mystery series, with its lovely scenery and superb acting. Tom Barnaby played by John Nettles is joined by his new sidekick Dan Scott, who is played by John Hopkins. Dan Scott is less naive and a bit more cocky then his predecessor Gavin Troy. his humour, is more sardonic, but he is equally as appealing and likeable. A superb Midsomer Murder.

  • Another Cracking Mystery From Midsomer

Another superb mystery. Somewhat easier to follow than many Midsomers. As usual John Nettles is superb.. and pleased to see he reprimands Sgt Scott more than once. Scott is OK, but a little irritating.. and disappointing after Troy. However, a fine storyline.. fine acting by all.. a very worthwhile rent for a nice evening in.

An easy going episode set around a local village pub - The Maid in Splendour. Barnaby's sidekick Scott is getting better and there are some amusing parts with him in this one. The character is definitely getting better. Well worth a watch
