For anyone who always loved the music of the late Great Miles should listen to his tale. The Miles Davis story tells of how the legendary trumpeter grew to become one of Jazz Music's icons. From a career that spanned almost fifty years, Miles Davies not only changed the face of Jazz but also sporned the careers of many others from Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Joseph Zawinul, Airto, Keith Jarrett, Ron Carter and most noticable John Coltrane to name a few.... the Documentary also highlights his ups and downs with his marriages, affairs, ill health and early drug addiction. The was a well put together film with rare footage and interviews with some of Jazz Music's greats.
This is a fantastic piece of film, documenting Miles throughout his life, right from the start to the very end and beyond. It is brilliantly produced, in a very clear and enjoyable way - you learn so much watching it. I watched it in one, simply because I couldn't stop watching it once I had started. I would recommend this to anyone, jazz musicians and enthusiasts alike.
