A wonderful new way to look at a 2000 year old story
By Simon B from London , 13 Feb 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
An interesting mix of 7 and animation, with no claymation in sight, combined with strong voice performances makes this a brilliant dvd to watch.
For us, age 32 and 30, it was an enlightening experience...but might be better suited for the little ones. Still, I recommend this to any age group whole heartedly if you are interested in hearing a familiar story in a new and wonderful way- Was this review helpful to you?

A Gospel for the Family
By bilko1969 (10 reviews) from Newcastle upon Tyne , 30 Aug 2008You decide that you are going to make an animated family film version of a story that is the foundation of one of the greatest world religions! Now, how do you go about that?! Very carefully. What these film makers have done is nothing short of a miracle in itself. They have produced a creative and sensitive piece. Yes, there is quite a lot of material skimmed over but nothing can distract from the excellent animation and the final scenes of the inevitable crucifixtion( which is cleverly toned down eithout losing its power ) and resurrection. A great family film and an interesting way to introduce children to the story of Jesus.- Was this review helpful to you?
