    Mirrors

This is a totally gripping movie from beginning to end, with an unexpected twist in the end. After Kiefer's character is involved in a shooting incident while working as a cop, he find his life completely turned on its' head. He is sleeping on his baby sister's couch, and is estranged from his wife and kids.

In an attempt to get his life back on track,he takes on a job as a night security guard at a derelict burnt down buidling that was once a grandiose department store, before it was burnt down. On his rounds he starts seeing (and feeling) things in the mirrors. When his sister turns up dead in the bath in a horrific way, he is put on the path to discover the hidden secrets behind these mirrors. He discovers that the burnt down department store used to be a psychiatric hospital in the 50's with a man who engineered a method of therapy that involved treating patients with mirrors. Everyone in the hospital was killed in the most horrific massacre and so the hospital was sht down. The only clue Kiefer's character has got is the name 'Esseker' and the ticking clock of time quickly catching up on him.He must do all he can to get to the bottom of this puzzle or lose his family! Brilliant. A must see!

    OMG!

Mirrors is exactly how a supernatural horror should be...jumpy and creepy! But Mirrors takes it one step further with some pretty gross death scenes!

Excellent film highly recommend - will defo buy when on DVD

Rent if you liked Amityville Horror, The Grudge, The Eye

    A Good Horror

Mirrors had me on the edge of my seat a couple of times, I really like horror films and

    wasn't disappointed after watching this.

    * The story line was good.

    * The actors were good.

    * The special effects were good.

It also had a good twist to the end of the film,

Overall i give it a thumbs up and would definatly watch it again.

    Lame duck

This is a lame, half-hearted attempt at remaking a clever Korean horror movie (Into the Mirror). The plot is really quite bewildering, as it makes so many crazy leaps of logic that can only really be understood if you've seen the original, or just don't care about verisimilitude.

Sutherland is actually quite good, and the murder scenes are suitably gruesome. It even captures a creepy atmosphere quite well. But the plot is so overblown and the ending so pathetic that all of that good work is rendered useless. What annoyed me more than anything is the final twist at the end - it's a shot-for-shot remake of the Korean movie, but doesn't make sense in the context of the new plot (made perfect sense in the original due to a clever set-up). An example of a lazy director trying to have his cake and eat it.

If you want to rent this movie and haven't seen the Korean film, then rent the original instead. If you're the kind of person who can't cope with subtitles, then this version is probably the one for you.

    Worth looking in to!!

It's rare that a 'horror' film makes me get goose bumps but this one managed it.

Can't say too much as it will spoil your enjoyment, all I can say is give it a go. The story and characters are strong, especially Sutherland who in this instance has more than 24hrs to sort things out.

The end is especially worthy of reflection!!

Not a film to watch alone or near a mirror

Watched this in the cinema and it had to be the most scariest film I've seen in a long time, it took me hours to look in a mirror without getting spooked by it lol (the few drinks in the nightclub after helped lol)

    Average film

Its not what its cracked up to be. The film itself has many scary scenes but does not shock or disgust its viewers in the way it intends to. Me personally found this film full of cliches and is no different to any other mediocre horror/thriller films out there. Good concept, poor actors. I dont think Keifer Sutherland was the best choice for the main role, stick to 24 and never disappoint me again. :)

    More of the same

Yet another 'captured souls needing to be freed/exact revenge and using evil methods to achieve their ends' movie. Sounds familiar? It'll look familiar too, because you've all seen this before.

    Surprisingly Spooky

Many of the contemporary horrors/chillers leave me cold (not in a good sense!).

Seeing that Keifer Southerland was in it and the reviews (as in 5 star ratings) were reasonable I gave it a go.

And I am glad I did. There are some great moments in this and I am glad I watched it.

    Thouroughly recommended.
