Awful
An action movie that is no different than 500 others before - simplistic story, lots of baddies, car chases, explosions, ridiculous stunts, very poor lines ('Ethan what are you doing with that gun?'). And lots of self-indulgence of Mr. Cruise. Very average, if not poor. Really nothing special and you need to be an MI / Cruise junkie to enjoy this one.

Far better than expected
When I rented this I was expecting something along the lines of MI 2, which I thought was just an OK film, too much special effects, poor acting, rubbish dialogue and made to make Mr Cruise look good.
To my surprise this film was excellent ! Probably due to the director (Lost). This is a fast paced, edge of the seat movie, which keeps you in suspense from the very start. Plot is good, location shooting is brilliant (Berlin, Rome, China). And the action is breathtaking, yet uses less CGI, so actually looks believable.
Cruises character gets a thorough test in this film, not seen since the first MI. This is definately adds to the film.
Well recommended and under valued film. You won't be dissapointed. -

Scarlett Johansson is rumoured to be joining the cast of the Paramount Pictures production of "Mission Impossible 3". She will star along side Kenneth Branagh, Ving Rhames and leading man Tom Cruise. Ms Johansson recently won a Bafta for her acting in critically acclaimed "Lost In Translation".
