Awful
By a customer from London, England , 10 May 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
An action movie that is no different than 500 others before - simplistic story, lots of baddies, car chases, explosions, ridiculous stunts, very poor lines ('Ethan what are you doing with that gun?'). And lots of self-indulgence of Mr. Cruise. Very average, if not poor. Really nothing special and you need to be an MI / Cruise junkie to enjoy this one.- Was this review helpful to you?

Great fun
By gianino (614 reviews) from London , 13 May 2012I still prefer the first one but this is better than the last one...however, all 4 of them are pretty good. I'm not a big fun of Philip Seymour Hoffman though; he is a brilliant actor but I just can't stand him and Simon Pegg is a joke but the rest of the of the cast was great. Jonathan Ryes Myers is also quite cute. Overall, a great action packed movie.- Was this review helpful to you?

And the OSCAR for BEST ACTOR goes to...Mr Tom Cruise!
By WillXXXX (17 reviews) , 17 Jan 2012I really have to ask myself 'why has Tom Cruise not won an OSCAR?' The MI movies are 5* - you can watch them again and again...they are still enjoyable. I watched the King's Speech in the cinema and I wanted to leave half way through. Yet it seems that you can get an OSCAR for mmm..mmm..mmm...mmm..imicking psychogenic dysphonia but not for producing a high octane adventure movie.
Perhaps there should be a X-factor-esque public vote component when deciding who wins an OSCAR... That would be fairer.
If that happens, the title of this review summarises my hopes. ;-)- Was this review helpful to you?
