Good Action - can't wait for MI:3By a customer from Northamptonshire , 14 Feb 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]Great update of the 70's series.
Tom Cruise is great as Ethan Hawk. As he now seems to have a hand in the majority of his film choices with his own production company, the man is almost unable to make a bad film.
The stunt work on this film was dangerous and arduous - and the care taken to make these scenes as perfect as possible really shows.
With regard to the poor review listed for this film - I can only conclude that they were watching the original!!!!!
I thought that the supporting cast were actually good on the whole - but the problem of acting on the same screne as Cruise is that if you are not in his league - then I'm afraid that you will pale in comparison. Having been in the game myself, I think that the old saying of 'Never work with children and animals' (because they are usually scene stealers) should also include the rare breed of actor - like Cruise - because by god you have got to be good to score 'evens' never mind actually win a point!!!! Oh, and by the way, I'm not particulally a Cruise fan - but I'm honest enough to give credit where credit is due!
Well worth watching. More please.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideTom cruise ignites the screen in this runaway smash hit that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Cruise stars as Ethan Hunt, a secret agent framed for the deaths of his espionage team.Fleeing from goverment assasins, breaking into the CIA's most impentrable vault, clinging to the roof of a speeding bullet train,Hunt races like a burning fuse to stay one step ahead of his pursuers.... and draw one step closer to discovering the shocking truth.
A very good action film which brings the 1960's series up todate.

A good one I reccomend it
A good tv-to-film filmBy Silant (23 reviews) from Sheffield, England , 16 Mar 2008For once, this film shows how a t.v. show from decades ago can be taken from the 'small screen' and transferred successfully to the big screen. If you are not familiar with the show from the 1960's, it does not mean you wont enjoy this or lose out on the plot.
Ton up TomBy a customer from East Yorkshire. , 15 Oct 2007Great!!!! I could'nt think of any better way to describe it, Tension and Excitement from start to finish, Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames & Jean Reno were brill!! Good action sequences throughout espescially the scene were Tom was lowered into the locked room to retrieve the data files off the computer, and the chase involving Jon Voight & Jean Reno at the end on the High Speed Train, Can't wait for MI2.
