Unbelievable RubbishBy a customer from Cambs., England , 11 May 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]This piece of immoral rubbish where a group of inept children are rewarded for robbing a bank in order to obtain money for an operation to help their father walk should come with a warning to parents. The film teaches children that not only is it alright to steal, but that if you do steal it is probably your parents' fault for not taking the time to help you with your homework! The film also teaches that no one should have to put up with disability, even if it is their own fault, if stealing money will relieve your suffering. All in all a great message to give children these days. Added to which there is just so much of a grumpy, accusatory and stupid (the actual bank robbery is a farce) teenager you can take, and this film has far too much of it. My advice don't touch this film with a barge pole!

Enjoyable family movieBy MickeyMouse3000 (299 reviews) from Dorset, England , 03 Oct 2008Firstly, I've gotta say anyone who isn't a complete mentalcase, don't listen to the ludicrous review titled 'Unbelievable rubbish'. Anyone who seriously believes that this film is immoral and suggesting to children that stealing is ok, is a few sandwiches short of a picnic in my opinion. Normal folk will see this film for what it is - an enjoyable, family movie. It's nothing special though, far from it. This sort of film has been done better before, the likes of Agent Cody Banks and Thunderbirds for example, were much better films than this. But then it was straight-to-video anyway, so it's pretty much what you'd expect. I did enjoy it though, the children are all likeable and there's enough going on to keep it interesting. Some of the humour was a bit too daft for my own personal tastes - even for this sort of movie. But mostly, it's amusing when intended to be and as always with this sort of movie, it doesn't take itself too seriously. The love triangle between the three main stars is a bit tedious at times too, but not enough to spoil it. Overall, it's worth renting for a quiet afternoon with the kids, but don't expect too much.
